Eccentrica. The Collections of Centro Pecci

For the first time since its opening in 1988, the Centro Pecci opens a wing of the building with a permanent display of works and materials from its collections.

The display project was designed by the Formafantasma studio, with fabrics produced by the local industry – which makes the city of Prato famous throughout the world – according to sustainability and accessibility criteria, and with a new lighting project.

Eccentrica. Collection of  Centro Pecci offers a journey through the history of the Institution and art; a surprising journey, open to the public starting from May 6, 2023, which reinterprets the works collected by the Center, selecting over 50 from over a thousand works acquired or donated since 1988 to date.

The four sections into which the exhibition is divided provide plural visions of the collections, revealing the richness of the contemporary artistic debate: The Center in a room; The cut is a time machine; Italy Ninety; Radical future.
