‘Second-generation’ Schermo (Screen) composed of white-painted canvas stretched over a shaped, projecting wooden frame. Unlike the other screens, the overhanging part of the work contains padding within; the lower part of the canvas is folded to form a flap to which the artist referred as a tasca di cinema. The screen is surrounded by a wooden box frame painted black. For greater insight into the concept of ‘schermo’ in Mauri’s work, see the introductory essays.
