NOTE:

An engraving on plastered cement, Etc. lent Mauri’s final exhibition its title. The exhibition opened at Galleria Rizzo in Venice in 2009, a few days after his death. ‘Etcetera is, perhaps, the last word one uses to say or write, after having tried all one’s life to say, represent, or write something. Etc., abbreviated, as if I had written it today, somewhere.
