Two identical fire extinguishers’ ogival heads are painted in black varnish. The words ‘Estintore ariano’ followed by the number 1 or 2 to differentiate the individual pieces are inscribed at the top of each red body. A pre-printed tag filled with transfer lettering hangs from each fire extinguisher, bearing the title, date and artist’s name. The two objects were displayed as a pair in 1995 at the ‘Arierwiege’ exhibition at the Galleria Sauro Bocchi, Rome (inv. 1023); they were subsequently shown and sold individually.
