NOTE:
A hand-cranked generator with three magnets takes centre stage in a white monochrome painting made on a Bologna gesso base. Raised letters form the inscription ‘Senza art’ (WITHOUT ART) beneath the object. Together with the iron frame open to the sides, this references Mauri’s ‘Interno/Esterno’ exhibition-installation works (inv. 3760).
