Multimedia collage on board with gypsum primer, framed by an open-sided iron frame similar to other artworks from Interno/Esterno (inv. 3760). The composition develops centrifugally around the middle occupied by two broken discs, one with punched cards, the other made of vinyl. Black and white photographs, drawings, mixed-media interventions and various materials are arranged around them in a radial pattern, including an exhibition view of ‘Entartete Kunst’, a famous photo-portrait of artist Aleksandr Rodchenko, a graphic with the name of French socialist ‘Jean Jaurèst’ [sic], an aluminium silhouette of a man wearing a Fortunato Depero-style hat, and a ceramic and metal bulb holder protruding from the painting stand. Together with Argentina 1 and 3, this work was part of Mauri’s ‘Interno/Esterno’ exhibition-installation (inv. 3760).
