A portion of uncooked squid ink pasta fills a white ceramic plate, as basic and sturdy as the tableware used in canteens, on an iron base patinated with graphite. The work was part of the ‘Picnic o Il buon soldato’ exhibition-installation (inv. 3204), a counterbalance to the steaming plate of pasta and beans in the Il rancio (inv. 3526) performance.
