The words ‘Senza fine’ engraved at the centre of a graphite-patinated aluminium plate, ironically subverting the characteristic ‘The End’ that appeared so often in the artist’s paintings. This work was part of Mauri’s ‘Autobiografia come teoria’ exhibition-installation (inv. 2171), at which the artist presented themes and objects associated with his personal history on panels of the same format and quality.
