A leather boot held in shape by a wooden shoe stretcher rests on a shoeshine bench; a long screw in the toe is fastened to a leather ribbon. Chips of marble and ancient artefacts found during renovation of the artist’s studio are glued onto the stool’s lower housing. After an initial 1995 version, the artist revived the work in 2006, exhibiting it at the Hyunnart Studio in Rome on a photo table with an ivory-coloured backdrop.
