Screen-drawing characterised by a black band painted along the sheet’s edges, framing a rectangle with rounded corners, featuring a composition of images transferred to paper via solvent. Taken from newspapers and magazines, the photographs juxtapose scenes from different stories and contexts, unified nonetheless by the decal’s evanescent black and white. A number of ink-drawn ovals are arranged on them around a circle that bears the white inscription ‘THE END’ in the centre. For greater insight into the concept of ‘schermo’ in Mauri’s work, see the introductory essays.
