NOTE:
The word ‘Dramophone’ emblazoned diagonally on a graphite-patinated iron plate, stamped in blue paint. Around it, a vinyl record partially covered by the sleeve of a La Voce del Padrone (His Master’s Voice) label record, two Tuscan cigars and a black-and-white photograph of a military field cemetery are arranged. The artwork has the same format and finish as the pictures in the Autobiografia come teoria series (inv. 2171), compositions of objects related to Mauri’s personal history.
