A sentence, written out twice in lithographic pencil on a glossy black photographic paper sheet, once in white and once in red, in opposite directions. The phrase reads: ‘Nessun documento conserva intatta l’azione. L’azione è irripetibile. Non può apparire in luoghi diversi, uguale. Perché la sua immaginazione è la realtà.’ (‘No document preserves the action intact. The action is unrepeatable. It cannot appear in different places, the same. Because its imagination is reality.’) The artwork is very similar to one exhibited together with the artwork Intellettuale (inv. 985) at the 1977 Bologna Performance Week (inv. 205); it was probably a preparatory version.
