A glossy black card at the top right features a cut-out of a print framing the words ‘Church army emergency tea car for troops’. The detail is from one of the 102 photographs that make up the Linguaggio è guerra installation (inv. 307), in the lower part of which we see church volunteers in civilian clothes pouring cups of tea for uniformed soldiers. Some fifteen communion wafers of ‘vero grano senza Dio’ (compare with the eponymous series, inv. 236) are haphazardly glued beneath the print cut-out.
