NOTE:
A black passe-partout with rounded inner edges frames a mixed-media drawing of a train entering a tunnel. The perspective-based viewpoint and model of train are reminiscent of the famous short film by brothers Auguste and Louis Lumière, L’Arrivée d’un train en gare de La Ciotat (Arrival of a Train at La Ciotat Station), shot in 1895 and one of the very first films ever shown. This work is part of Mauri’s set of screen-drawings.
