NOTE:

Screen-drawing characterised by a black band painted around the edges of a sheet of paper, defining a ‘field for projection’ dominated by the cursive capital lettering ‘FINE’. Among the letters, some photographs of women, transferred directly to paper using a solvent, emerge from a mixed-media painted background. For greater insight into the concept of ‘schermo’ in Mauri’s work, see the introductory essays.
