Screen-drawing characterised by a black frame painted along the sheet’s edges, defining a ‘field for projection’ within which a composition was assembled by transferring photographs from books and magazines directly onto the paper using a solvent. Partially overlapping, the images present men’s and women’s faces, along with a Mexican-style drawing and mixed-media interventions by the artist, including the word ‘fine’ (The End) repeated three times on the left. For greater insight into the concept of ‘schermo’ in Mauri’s work, see the introductory essays.
