NOTE:

‘Second-generation’ Schermo (Screen) composed of unpainted white canvas stretched over a shaped, projecting wooden frame. The work’s title refers to the name of its first owner, Petrosemolo, a friend of the artist’s. A Plexiglas covering was added after the artist’s death for conservation purposes. For greater insight into the concept of ‘schermo’ in Mauri’s work, see the introductory essays.
