‘First-generation’ Schermo (Screen) composed of a painted canvas stretched over a shaped, projecting wooden frame. In the lower half of the work, the fabric is folded to form a flap that the artist called a tasca di cinema (cinema pocket). For greater insight into the concept of ‘schermo’ in Mauri’s work, see the introductory essays.
