A wide-mesh bag, hung up on the wall, contains balls of different colours and yarns, in the upper left-hand corner offering a glimpse of a label on which the words ‘Gomitoli ariani’ are written in transfer lettering. The work is one of the ‘Aryan objects’ displayed at the ‘Arierwiege’ exhibition-installation (inv. 1023), weaving a direct dialogue with the performance Ariani, in which a naked woman, lying on a sofa, engaged in a variety of activities, including crochet.
