The inscription ‘Arisch Hutschachtel’, followed further down by the word ‘Berlin’, is engraved on a hatbox lid. The work is one of the ‘Aryan objects’ displayed at the ‘Arierwiege’ exhibition at the Galleria Sauro Bocchi, Rome in 1995 (inv. 593, 1023).
