Series of seven graphics titled Celebrity, conceived in 2004 for the Dutch magazine BABY, but never published. Similar to Manipolazione di cultura (inv. 3553) in theme and layout, they follow the same tripartite vertical format: a photograph in the upper portion, a monochrome in the lower portion, and a caption. The photographic images portray high-ranking Nazi apparatchiks: Hermann Goering, Heinrich Himmler, Edda Ciano with Goebbels’ daughters, Eva Braun, Josef Goebbels, Adolf Hitler and Rudolf Hess. The underlying monochrome, of varying dimensions, is midnight blue, almost black; the lower caption conveys the names of the people portrayed in white, with ultramarine blue initial capital letters.
