‘First-generation’ Schermo (Screen) composed of a painted, heavy paper sheet stretched over a shaped, projecting wooden frame. The paper in the lower half of the work is folded, forming a flap that the artist called a tasca di cinema (cinema pocket). For greater insight into the concept of ‘schermo’ in Mauri’s work, see the introductory essays.
